Исторические города сталкиваются с вопросами устойчивого развития, особенно городские центры, которые имеют высокую культурную ценность. Одной из важнейших тем является обеспечение связности и доступности, поскольку дорожные и уличные сети в исторических центрах имеют свои особенности: узкие переулки, высокую плотность застройки, транспортных средств, пешеходных потоков и разнообразных видов общественной деятельности. В этом аспекте существует интерес к оценке текущего состояния улиц в исторических центрах для принятия информированного решения об их реконструкции с целью создания гибкой, комфортной и безопасной общественной среды.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. Выбран город Алеппо в качестве объекта исследования. Выполнены анализ генерального плана и инфраструктуры города с использованием карт ГИС и метода LOS уровня обслуживания транспортной сети в историческом центре города.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Разработана классификация улиц исторического центра города, связанная с соотношением пешеходов, а также иерархия, показывающая важные объекты, расположенные рядом с исследуемыми улицами, которые привлекают население. С помощью метода LOS предложили ранжирование уровня обслуживания улиц от A до F и классификацию улиц в соответствии с этими значениями.</p></sec><sec><title>Выводы</title><p>Выводы. Определены улицы, которые требуют реконструктивных решений по повышению качества городской среды с целью удовлетворения формирования комфортных и безопасных условий для пешеходов, а также обеспечения доступности городской инфраструктуры с учетом ее исторической ценности.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. Historic cities face the issues of sustainable development, especially city centres that have high cultural value. One of the most important topics is ensuring connectivity and accessibility as road and street networks in historic centres have their own characteristics: narrow alleys, high density of buildings, vehicles, pedestrian flows and a variety of public activities. In this aspect, there is the research interest to assess current condition of streets in the historic centres to make informed decisions about their reconstruction in order to create a flexible, comfortable and safe public environment.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. Selecting Aleppo city as the object of study, analyzing the current situation of general plan and infrastructure of the city using GIS maps, open public data and information provided by local municipality of the city and through applying (LOS-Level of Service) method which is designed for analyzing transportation networks in this case in the historic city centre.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. A classification of the streets of the historic city centre was developed, which is designed due to pedestrian ratios, taking into account hierarchy that considers the valuable heritage objects that are located near the studied streets that attract visitors. As a final result a method was suggested for the purpose of ranking level of street services from A to F and the classification of streets according to their values.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusions</title><p>Conclusions.
